A satisfying riff on a Rashomon type story but this time set in the Gulf War. Lt. Colonel Starling, working a desk job after a horrible accident on the battlefield, investigates the potential posthumous awarding of the Medal of Honor to pilot Karen Walden, and what he uncovers is more than what was originally though. The incident in question is recounted from different points of view by different people involved giving us multiple versions of the same story. Washington gives his typical great performance as a man trying to come to terms with his past and figure out the truth.
