Dead Silence (2007)

Dead SilenceDirector: James Wan

Writer: Leigh Whannell

(Story by James Wan & Leigh Whannell)

A concept so dumb it is kind of amazing that this was a theatrical release and not DTV or at least a Sci-Fi Channcel original.  The best part is that this is all played pretty seriously.  The easiest comparison is the Child’s Play series and at least those seemed to have a sense of humor about how stupid it all is, especially the later entries.  I will say I did enjoy the twist towards the end that revealed the lead character’s father’s body had been turned into a dummy.  That was pretty funny.
