I have seen a lot of these DC animated movies and while I like the way they approach them, adapting specific storylines and keeping the artists styles, they really haven’t done much for me. The adaptation of Frank Miller’s classic The Dark Knight Returns however has definitely been the best of these DC films. I don’t think it is really necessary to split them story wise, and hopefully one day they will make available the whole complete thing as one movie, but overall I think they did a really good job with the adaptation.
