Director: Neil LaBute
Writers: David Henry Hwang and Laura Jones and Neil LaBute
(Based on a novel by A.S. Byatt)
Checked this out because of Neil LaBute. What a strange career he has had. Love his early writer/director stuff but the second half of his career is very schizophrenic. I found this to be pretty dull and dry. Nothing about this was particuarly interesting to me. I know in the world of this film it is a really big story that a famous poet was having an affair but in the real world how many people would this information actually effect? Also Paltrow is just the opposite of romantic and sexy in this movie. I hate to call a movie boring but this was.
