Batman Begins (2005)

Director: Christopher Nolan

Writers: Christopher Nolan and David S. Goyer

(Story by David S. Goyer)

(Based on characters created by Bob Kane)

Catching Maura up on Nolan’s Batman series before The Dark Knight Rises hits in July!  This movie feels so different than The Dark Knight.  Still enjoyable.  I think one of the best assets these movies have is that they don’t feature a lot of computer animation from and center like a lot of comic book/fantasy films do.  I can’t imagine how a lot of these modern blockbusters are going to age given the technology they use.  Of course good stories and writing last forever but I just wonder.  The current generation probably doesn’t even give things like the original King Kong a chance because of the effects so I wonder what future generations will think of our movies.  Anyway I am sure there are computer effects throughout the film but they just aren’t obvious.  I feel like it will make the movie feel a bit more timeless than other.  I like than about Nolan.  He has the will to want to build the big sets and make big movies feel and look like big movies.  Really excited about the finale!
