Being Elmo: A Puppeteer’s Journey (2011)

Directors: Constance Marks

Writers: Philip Shane & Justin Weinstein

I was excited when I saw this was on Netflix Instant but the actual movie was kind of a let down.  At barely 75 minutes there just isn’t enough digging in this.  It is just very glossy and kind of dull.  Right towards the end they touch on Clash’s family life and how the success has effected his family and all that which actually adds another interesting layer to it but they barely get into it and then it ends.  Could have been interesting it just felt too nice and not that interesting.  Could have been a just as effective segment on 60 minutes.
