POM Wonderful Presents: The Greatest Movie Ever Sold (2011)

Director: Morgan Spurlock

Writers: Morgan Spurlock & Jeremy Chilnick

This is Super Size Me’s Morgan Spurlock’s newest Documentary.  The topic this time is product placement and advertising in our lives, more specifically in film and television.  So the whole movie is Spurlock going to different companies and offering to feature their products in his new movie and the movie is him going to these meetings.

I am really interested in this concept and I thought it was done entertaining enough.  Spurlock’s Documentaries aren’t exactly hard hitting exposes but they are breezy and watchable.  Most of the information here was stuff I knew already but Spurlock has a good personality and that is most of the reason you watch his stuff anyway.

This movie also just reminded me that Brett Ratner is the hackiest hack that ever hacked.  He is only in the movie for about 4 minutes and I just wanted to barf.
