(Story by Michael R. Perry and Oren Peli)
I admire the balls of the filmmakers to pretty much remake the first movie as a prequel and then add about two minutes of new information at the end. Why this is a prequel or why this was necessary I don’t really get. There is about an hour of watching this dopey family act as such before anything actually happens. I dug the first one for its originality but this just seemed lazy.
