The Double Life of Veronique (1991)

Director: Krzysztof Kieslowski

Writers: Krzysztof Kieslowski & Krzysztof Piesiewicz

I went in to this one pretty much expecting to not “get it”.  I think I feel like this a lot when it comes European Art House type films.  I mean I understand the basic premise of what was going on but I mean “get it” in the sense of getting why it is a big deal.  But it has a really great look and tone that I found interesting and I would watch it again.  The film looks really beautiful.  I would imagine Jeunet watched this movie a lot before making Amelie.
